this is the first post on this blog
it's 1:47 a.m. and i could be asleep, but unsurprisingly i'm up so i figure i might as well get my blog started!
the Lord really put the idea of a blog on my heart recently and i've been excited about it, so i'm happy to finally be getting things going :) it mainly stems from my desire this year for every aspect of my life to be centered on Christ, whatever that may look like. this is a place where i will be posting from time to time about a variety of topics -- things i'm interested in, like nutrition, music, language, etc.
the desire of my soul is for all of these passions to point back to the perfect Creator that set them all in place and planted the longing in humankind's heart to know Him and His unimaginable beauty through all that He has done.
He recently brought me from a place of death to life, and praise God it is now my desire for the whole world to know life, freedom, and joy in the precious name of Jesus. so here i am, and here you are. reach out to me if you feel so led and we can have a chat!
i would love for people to share things i can post -- i.e. poems, songs, thoughts, verses, things God is teaching you, etc. -- anything is welcome :)
the name of this blog is something that has been growing in my heart for a good while now. due to experiences in my life, the Lord has brought me to a place where i understand more that this earth is just a temporary place with fleeting mortal sufferings, all of which will pass away as He redeems every broken thing.
two key verses that inspire this blog:
"Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
in whose heart are the highways to Zion." - Psalm 84:5 ESV
"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end." - Ecclesiastes 3:11 ESV
